View of the Place de l'Hôtel-de-Ville in Auxerre, showing the Town Hall with its entrance and shuttered windows, as well as a shoe shop at the bottom right and the clock tower in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to M. Émile Cotté in Paris, with a 15-centime postage stamp and two cancellations from Auxerre dated 20 June 1908.
