View of the Town Hall in Avallon, a classical-style building with slate roof and bell tower, flanked by shops (« Peublée » and « Soieries Confection »). Reverse: handwritten message addressed to Madame Martin in Paris, 10-centime postage stamp, and a postmark from Sirey (Ain) dated May 15, 1915.
