Monochrome engraving depicting the Tour de l'Échiquet in Avallon, with a staircase and vegetation. Printed text at the bottom: 'AVALLON. La Tour de l'Échiquet.' Reverse: handwritten letter dated 14 April 1930, addressed to 'Dear little Aunt Marie', mentioning a garden, a small card, and a walk in Avallon. Stamp and postmark not visible.
