Interior view of the Lower Chapel of the Audiences in the Palace of the Popes in Avignon, showing its Gothic vaults and columns. The printed text indicates that it was also the seat of the Tribunal of the Rotta and that frescoes of the Prophets, attributed to Simone Memmi (1348), are visible in an angle of the vault. The reverse mentions the publisher 'Idéale' and the artist 'G. F. Beaul' in Avignon.
