Description

View of the Place du Palais in Avignon, with the statue of Crillon in the foreground and the former palace of the bishops in the background. The printed text indicates that the building was built in 1314 by Jacques de Via, nephew of Pope John XXII, and is currently occupied by the higher primary school. On the reverse, the postcard is addressed to Mme Paul Wild in Paris, with handwritten text dated February 1919.
