View of the tomb of Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, at the door of the cathedral in Avranches, with an inscription mentioning the apostolic absolution of Henry II, King and Duke of Normandy, on Sunday, May 31, 1172. Reverse: handwritten address to A. Barbier at the Hôtel Grandval in Volognes, with two postage stamps and a postmark from Avranches dated April 18, 1908.
