Military assault scene in Baccarat in August 1914, showing soldiers in action in front of a shoe building and a church in the background, with smoke and explosions. Printed text indicates the fire caused by the Germans and the heroic assault on the bridge. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated 18 March 1915, addressed to a recipient in Brunoy, with a stamp and cancellation 'PARIS 14' visible.
