Black and white view of the medieval gate of Bargate in Southampton, with its stone walls and battlements, framed by two statues on pedestals. In the foreground, an ornate lamppost and a sign 'STOP CLEBR'. The reverse features handwritten ink text, a circular Southampton postmark of July 22, 1926, and a red three pence stamp.
