Illustration of a painting by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo depicting two children tasting fruit, one eating grapes, the other a watermelon. On the reverse, a German postcard from Stengel & Co. with a 5-centime French postmark, addressed to Mademoiselle Jeanne Courret in Mont-Saint-Aignan. The printed text mentions the biography of Murillo, a Spanish painter born in Seville in 1618, trained by Juan de Castillo and influenced by Tizian, Ribera and Van Dyck.
