Colored view of the clock of the Town Hall in Basel, adorned with statues and a tiled roof. The inscription 'RENOVATUM ET AMPLIFICATUM ANNO DOMINI MDCCXCI' indicates a renovation in 1791. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated August 19, 1900, sent from Basel to Paris, with a 20-cent Swiss postage stamp and a Basel cancellation.
