Description

Engraved illustration of the Battle of St. Privat on 18 August 1870, showing soldiers in action with the names of officers (Colonel Lonclas, Lieutenant de Vezins, General Lafond de Villiers, etc.) printed at the bottom. On the reverse, a handwritten address to Monsieur Gaston Legay in Guingamp, with a 5 pfennig German postage stamp and a circular postmark from Metz.
