Description

Postcard showing the cruiser La LIBERTÉ at sea before its tragic explosion in Toulon on 25 September 1911. The ship is depicted in motion, with visible cannons and flags flying. On the reverse, handwritten address sends the card to 'Monsieur monsieur de Paris' with a signature, and the publisher 'Édition Cyprien, Toulon' is printed at the bottom of the front.
