Postcard showing the ship "République" severely damaged after the explosion on September 25, 1911. Printed text on the front specifies the disaster. On the back, handwritten correspondence addressed to the Captain of the Place d'Armes, mentioning the damage caused by a 37-ton armor plate. Green 5c "France" stamp and postal mark "H".
