Description

Postcard showing the ironclad "Le Saint-Louis" at sea, with a mountainous landscape in the background and a French flag raised. The back contains handwritten text describing the technical characteristics of the ship (length, range, armament) and a note on its historical role as the only ironclad to have sheltered a great French admiral killed in 1648. The printed text on the back indicates that the postcard is reserved for the address of Saint-Louis.
