Description

Postcard showing the port side of the ironclad IÉNA, severely damaged after the explosion of 12 March 1907, with 200 victims. The ship is being dismantled in Toulon, surrounded by people. On the back, a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. Camano in Nice, expressing sorrow over the loss of sailors and gratitude for the postcard. Red 10-centime stamp and postmark from Toulon dated 2-6-1907.
