Postcard showing the cruiser-battleship "Desaix" at sea, with an inscription at the bottom indicating its name and class. The reverse contains a handwritten letter to Marcelle Jacot in Paris, mentioning a stay in Brest and a 22-day leave. A 25-centime stamp and a cancellation mark from Rochefort-Saint-Mégrin (1905) are visible at the top right.
