Description

Postcard showing a winch operation on board a French Navy ship, with several sailors in uniform observing or operating the equipment. The reverse side features an address to Mr. Celestine Croquie in Vendée, a handwritten inscription 'Merci mille fois', and a censorship stamp from Toulon dated May 28, 1915. The postage stamp is a 25-centime rose stamp.
