Description

Postcard showing the battleship "Liberté" of the French Navy, destroyed in the harbor of Toulon by an explosion on September 25, 1911, causing about 400 victims. The reverse bears handwritten correspondence dated September 29, 1911, addressed to Madame Félicien Quartier du Canet in Bandol (Var), with a postal stamp and a Toulon cancellation.
