Postcard showing the battleship "Liberté" of the French Navy, destroyed by explosion in Toulon on 25 September 1911 at 5:55, causing approximately 400 victims. Printed text at the bottom of the front. Back: handwritten address to Monsieur Durilliers in Fleuriel/Sâne near Lyon, with a note of correspondence on the front and handwritten date '18/9/1911'. 5c green 'République Française' stamp cancelled.
