Watercolor illustration of a lively port with a lighthouse, agitated waves, and sailing ships, one of which bears the French flag. On the reverse, a postcard dated January 4, 1916, addressed to Lieutenant P. Challet of the 33rd Infantry Regiment on duty in Maison-Blanche, with handwritten correspondence. A 5 centime French Republic postmark, canceled.
