Postcard showing the ossuary of Bazeilles, a crypt built between 1876-77, containing the remains of victims of the battles of August 31 and September 1, 1870, with 998 Frenchmen on the right and 1061 Germans on the left. On the back, handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. Grand Minkhoeft in Lévis, with a green 5c stamp and a 'VILLE DE BAZEILLES' cancellation from 1870.
