Monumental statue of the Lion of Belfort, work of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, sculpted in 1870 to commemorate the defense of the city. Printed text at the bottom: « 949. BELFORT — The Lion ». Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated January 4, 1919, addressed to a « dear dear brother », with a stamp and postal mark.
