Description

View of the tower of the Church of St-Bavon in Gand, with trams and a few pedestrians below. The reverse indicates that the construction, begun in 1462 according to the plans of Jean Sassen, reached a height of 80 meters, and that the wooden spire was burned down in 1535 and replaced by an iron spire.
