Description

Black and white view of the loss of the Rhône at Bellegarde, with the Belvédère in the background, where several people are observing the turbulent river course between rocky cliffs. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated July 18, 1936, sent from Bellegarde to Madame and Monsieur Moreau in La Baume-de-Rié, mentioning a stay in Génevois and Bonneville, with a 30-centime postage stamp and a Lyon cancellation.
