Black and white view of the debris of sunken boats on the beach of Bernières, used for the Allied landing in June 1944. In the distance, the line of ships can be distinguished. The reverse bears a handwritten address to M. & Mme Mougen in Morgon, a green 31-centime stamp, and a circular cancellation from Bernières dated September 14, 1944.
