Description

Illustration of the astronomical clock in Besançon, commissioned by Cardinal Mathieu, designed in 1858 and completed in 1860, measuring 5m80 in height and composed of 72 dials. The reverse indicates the publisher C. Lardier in Besançon (Doubs) and bears a notice of prohibited reproduction. The postcard is dated around 1900.
