Description

Reproduction of the St-Jean Clock in Besançon, commissioned in 1794 by Cardinal Mathieu, started in March 1858 and completed in August 1860, measuring 5m50 in height and composed of 72 cadrans. The reverse indicates the Gaillard-Prêtre edition from L'Isle-sur-le-Doubs. Postmark and cancellation not visible.
