View of the Basque coast in Biarritz under the effect of crashing waves during rough weather, with a small building in the foreground and spectators on a quay. On the reverse, handwritten correspondence addressed to Mme Suramis Ligon at La Bourdondomière, near Allauch, with a postage stamp and a Biarritz dispatch stamp dated September 15, 1914.
