Colored view of the Rhine at Bingen, with the ruin of the Ehrenfels castle overlooking the terraced vineyards. A steamboat navigates the river. On the reverse, a handwritten letter from 'Maurice' to his uncles, dated around 1900, announcing his arrival on Friday evening. German postage stamp Z 5478 affixed at the top right.
