Description

View of the castle of Blois, with printed text recalling historical events: the death of Valentine of Milan in 1408, the arrest of Joan of Arc in 1514, the birth of Louis XII and the death of Anne of Brittany, as well as the meeting of the States-General in 1576 and 1588. On the reverse, a blue 40-centime French Republic postmark, cancellation 'S.P.P. 30.2.250' and handwritten address to M. Bourqueuol in Paris, with the sender's signature.
