View of the bombardment of the Chamber of Commerce in Dunkerque on 15 May 1918, caused by aircraft with a large-caliber bomb. The building is severely damaged, with a collapsed roof and a façade riddled with holes. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 23 May 1919, addressed to Madame Madamé in Lille, mentions the war and the weather.
