View of the Gate of the Palace in Bordeaux, a Gothic tower with an ogival portal and pinnacles, surrounded by urban buildings. The reverse features handwritten promotional text for a circus and an advertisement from the publisher Fonfride et Cie, a bookseller and philatelist based in Bordeaux, with a postmark and cancellation.
