Description

Interior view of the cloister of the Abbey of Bourgueil, begun in 1472 and completed at the beginning of the 16th century by Abbot Philippe Hurault de Cheverny, now a chapel. The reverse bears handwritten correspondence dated August 31, 1942, addressed to Abbot Joulin de Noray in Soligny-la-Trappe (Orne), with a 1.20 franc postage stamp and an address stamp from Bécherel.
