Description

Princess Maria, in a traditional Romanian costume decorated with embroidery and fringes, poses in front of a stone pillar. The reverse side bears a handwritten letter dated 5 April 1909, sent to Chère Marcelle, mentioning that Papa and Olleman are in Bucharest and that everything is fine. A Romanian postmark is affixed, with partial cancellation.
