View of the apse of the Saint-Pierre church in Caen, with an old car and a few passersby in front of the ornate Gothic façade. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 18 June 1939, sent from Caen to Nantes, signed by the Charlet brothers, with a 70-cent postage stamp and a postmark from Caen.
