View of the Castle Barracks in Caen, east side, with several soldiers in uniform on the paved courtyard. The building features a classical façade with many windows and chimneys. The reverse side has a handwritten letter dated February 22, 1917, addressed to a recipient in Bâtonnay, with a postmark and a Caen cancellation.
