Description

View of the Hôtel de la Préfecture in Caen, with an imposing building with a classical façade, a French flag above the main entrance, and a few pedestrians on the paved sidewalk. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated January 22, 1917, addressed to Gustave, mentioning a return to Caen and family news, as well as a note about correspondence not accepted by all foreign countries.
