Description

Detailed view of the ruins of Saint-Pierre Church in Caen, after wartime destruction, with visible rubble in the foreground. The reverse has a handwritten inscription dated August 15, addressed to Madame and Monsieur de Kerjel in Boulogne-sur-Seine, with a 5-franc blue stamp and partial cancellation.
