View of the Roman Gate in Cahors, showing a Gothic portal with a pointed arch and mullioned windows, framed by ancient stones and protected by a metal grille. The reverse side contains handwritten correspondence dated 25/12/39, addressed to a friend in Montpellier, with a postal stamp 'LL PARIS' and a circular cancellation 'LL'.
