Colorized view of the port of Calais with a large steamer with two smokestacks off the western jetty, under a twilight sky. On the back, a postcard sent to Gorron (Loir-et-Cher) in 1931, with a 15 centime blue postmark and handwritten text addressed to 'Ma chère cousine'.
