Bronze statue of an eagle with outstretched wings on a base, with the inscription 'AUX MARINS DU PLUVIOSE MORTS POUR LA PATRIE'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated May 24, 1915, addressed to a correspondent in Gouvieux, with a postmark and Calais postmark.
