View of a huge sequoia with a passage carved into its trunk, where visitors and ladders can be seen. The reverse bears a handwritten note dated 23 January 1917, addressed to 'Miss Jenny Alné' in Paris, with a two-cent stamp and a cancellation from Auburn, California, dated 1 June 1904.
