Description

Two-panel caricature postcard: Zal-Dano, an exceptional candidate, promises a 'good perception' (panel I), but is disappointed to discover it is a 'real ring on the finger' (panel II). On the back, a handwritten letter dated 3/11/17, sent from Nantes, recounts a journey through the underbrush and a meeting with an officer. Postmark and cancellation visible.
