View of the California Observatory in Cannes, a metal tower with an external staircase, surrounded by trees and a horse harnessed to a carriage. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated January 22, 1916, sent from Cannes to Madame Visconti, mentioning 'gargoyles' and a 'little Marta'.
