Description

Black and white view of the medieval city of Carcassonne, taken from the Bishop's Tower, highlighting its ramparts and conical towers. The reverse indicates that Cahuzac Tower (13th century) and the Bishop's Tower (16th century) were built by Philippe le Hardi, and that one of the rooms in the Bishop's Tower was used as a prison during the Wars of Religion.
