Panorama of Charentan with views of the village rooftops and streets, including a ruined church in the foreground. Handwritten text on the front: 'I just received my military certificate in Carentan on May 10, 1919, I am with my old machine. I did 15 kilometers in 1h 39', signed Bernard. Reverse: address to 'M. Jean Vournies, 15 company, Darsillieu, Rennes', 1919 postmark and Carentan cancellation.
