View of the stone arched bridge of Carolles, surrounded by dense vegetation. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated July 28, 1916, sent from Follon to a recipient in Châtenay, mentioning a walk to Carolles and a return to Paris. French 10-centime postage stamp, partial cancellation visible.
