Description

Carved detail of the face of a crowned figure, likely the Jesse Tree, at the North Portal of Chartres Cathedral, dating from the 13th century. Printed text at the bottom of the front identifies the publisher Cl. E. Houvet. Back: blank postcard with space for address, publisher Robert Lahay of Chartres, and postmark canceled at the bottom right.
