Description

Interior view of the side aisles of the choir of Chartres Cathedral, showing Gothic vaults and massive columns dating from the 16th century. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to 'Bormanche', with a mention of 'Chartres' and a Parisian cancellation. The stamp is a French postage stamp of the 'Cérès' type (1909–1914).
