Description

Carved detail of the choir railing of Chartres Cathedral, dating from the 16th century, showing complex Gothic motifs with a small carved angel. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Monsieur G. Delaplanche in Tunis, with a 20-centime French postmark and a cancellation from TUNISIE dated August 20, 1914.
